I’m devoting a day to my year-end reflection, but also relaxing and enjoying some late Christmas gift knitting. I might finish this hottle today. If so, I could perhaps finish one more by the time #2 daughter arrives (or leaves), in which case this could be a final gift to her and her fellow.
Alternatively, I could do a final pair of hottles for me and my husband, because Christmas is just about past.
Either way, I’m doing my best to complete the knitting, and also doing some housework.
I made myself a nice lunch: spicy lentil soup with leftover holiday ham and lots of vegetables, a quesadilla, and a slice of homemade cherry-cranberry pie.
Otherwise, I’m knitting while watching Shark, and doing the housework during the commercials. I’m having fun doing it.
Coming back to report that I finished this one, and I’ve begun the next.
In the back of my mind, I’m making plans for 2019.
Including my knitting for the year.
Last year, I had this in my stash:
Current yarns of which I have a sweater’s worth:
- Knitpicks Wool of the Andes Dove
- Ditto Cobblestone Heather
- Ditto Solstice Heather
- Elan Peruvian Highland Wool Victorian Rose
- Ditto deep green
- Knitpicks Sport Haze (palest lilac)
- Ditto Mai Tai Heather
- Ditto Seafoam
- Ditto Blossom Heather
- Elan Soft Embrace DK Marsala
- Knitpicks Palette Larch and Green Tea for Fia pullover
- Outlaw Yarn Bohemia Sport possum fur Arsenic gray
- Fibra Natura Lima dark green
I made Ketch#2 from Knitpicks Sport colorway Haze and am partway through the Outlaw Bohemia Sport colorway Arsenic. Once I finish the Christmas knitting — which includes the argyle vest — I will continue with the Arsenic Chimera.
However, I’ve added to the stash. I have two sweaters’ worth of Lambspun Prism: one in Venus Blue and the other in Peony. I also have a sweater’s worth of Cloudborn’s silk/ wool blend in Jade.
15 sweaters ready to be knitted, plus shawls and socks and baby gear and whatnot. I can certainly go Cold Sheep for 2019 without having any lack of knitting.
