While I did all the things I planned to yesterday, I also spent some time arranging patio furniture. This seems a little silly, since our patio is no bigger than a postage stamp. The grill, a couple of steamer chairs, and there’s not much room left at all.
However, since last year the view away from the house has changed from a lovely field to a new subdivision. I have no intention of gazing into someone else’s back yard. Yet it seems peculiar to set the chaises so that we’re looking into the house.
Once the garden is planted, it might make most sense to admire that garden.
I suppose the occupants of the chairs could look into one another’s eyes.
