Here’s a new-to-me song about getting in the Christmas mood early because you’re in love or perhaps your girl has agreed to marry you. Something happy, in any case. “Christmas Dreaming” was written by Lester Lee, and was part of the midcentury revival of Christmas music that brought us so many great holiday standards. I’d never heard this one before, but it appears to be well known to other people.

I’m doing
My Christmas dreaming
A little early this year
No sign of snow around
And yet I go around
Hearing jingle bells
Ringing in my ear

Your promise
Must be the reason
The happy season is here
So I’m doing
My Christmas dreaming
A little early this year

So I’m doing
My christmas dreaming
A little early this year

It’s suitable for the day because I am indeed feeling like doing Christmas stuff instead of working. I’m getting quite a late start this morning and have only worked 32 hours and a bit this week (not counting a couple of low-key meetings with colleagues here at the house).
