It was a nice conference and my presentations went well. I enjoyed it as a social event and learned some things.
“I don’t think you know how much presence you have in a room,” one guy said.
“You’ve got some fans in this room!” said a woman in one of my presentations.
It was a chance to feel popular, for sure.
I think this is one of the advantages of getting older. I can be as warm and friendly and funny as I like without anyone thinking I’m being flirtatious.
I’m also completely over worrying about whether I look pretty — though I am still trying to look professional.
That’s liberating.
