#2 son headed home after his Ultimate tournament today, and #2 daughter will arrive on Tuesday.
I finished the Baby’s dress. I also made some Conga Bars. They may look like blondies to you — the paler cousin of the brownie. But this buttery cookie is mixed up in a saucepan. I have a gingerbread recipe like that, too. I think maybe that’s a 1940s thing.
Once the butter is melted, you stir in the sugar, eggs, flour, and vanilla. Then chopped pecans, chocolate chips, and coconut. Bake like brownies. Yum.

This dress is from the “Plage de la Greve Rose” layette from la Droguerie. I have just under one month to the Baby’s birthday. I made the dress in three weeks. Maybe a sweater in a larger gauge rather than the one in this layette…
