#2 son came in late last night after meeting up with a buddy. He’s here for an Ultimate tournament, which is also an opportunity to catch up with friends from all over.

We went to First Watch for breakfast (Eggs Benedict Florentine for me) and discussed books, podcasts, privilege, hipsters, comedians, quarrels, and cake as evidence of civilization.

When we got home, #1 daughter was here with her family. We talked, played, read storybooks, sang songs, and played with the Playmobil farm.

#2 son headed out for his tournament and #1 daughter took her merry band home. I settled in to work on the llama wool vest for #1 son. I’m watching Miss Fisher’s Mysteries from the beginning, enjoying the rain, and getting on with Christmas gifts.

A pleasant way to spend a day.

The hand-spun yarns aren’t helping with stitch definition and the colors are quite low contrast. The color work is mostly intended to stretch the yarn, but I hope it will look good. I’m not sure not does at this point.
