I slept for about 9 hours, changing gauze as it soaked through with blood and taking a couple of pain pills. I had plain yogurt and pineapple for dinner, scrambled eggs for breakfast, a few hours of work, and then I met #1 son and #1 daughter for lunch at Shogun. Mashed potatoes and small pieces of teriyaki chicken for lunch, a good presentation (I hope) of the key ideas from the conference.

By late afternoon I was worn out and feeling some pain at the swelling, so I packed it in early. I think I’ll have another early, drugged night.
