Today’s dispatch from Seamwork points out that we have done a lot of thoughtful work and gotten our looks planned, so it is now time to get sewing. That requires commitment.
I have a plan involving these pieces:
- 2 pairs of Miracle Pants
- 2 knit tops, probably the ShirtTail T and the Foursquare T
- 2 Layering Tanks
- 2 jackets and 1 knitted cardigan
That’s 10 pieces. How much can I actually do over the long weekend? It might come down to either one of the jackets or the tops and pants. I am committed to sewing up Heraklion, seen at the top of this post. I will cut it out this evening and get the main seams done tomorrow. For sure.
Maybe then the pants and tops, and theĀ Carreau du Temple jacket can wait till winter.
The Chimera cardigan is certainly going to get finished sometime this month. I had hoped to have it finished by now, but I still have to finish the second sleeve, sew it up, and do all the bands, so that will still take a while. It should be finished by the time it’s cool enough to wear it.
