#1 daughter, the Good Ol’ Boy, #1 son, and the DIL came over for Easter dinner, so we had an all-adults meal with just six of us.
To say nothing of the dog, who added liveliness to the day. We had pleasant conversations and plenty of good food.
Said food included a butter sculpture of a bunny, two kinds of roasted carrots, fresh blueberry muffins, and Lindt chocolate beetles.
There was also the Good Ol’ Boy’s Meemaw’s recipe for sweet potato casserole, Easter brownies from Pinterest, and Fresh Fruit Indulgence.
I also made Vampire in the Sun cocktails, at ridiculous expense.
We sang Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Easter songs and the Hallelujah Chorus in church, and my husband and I spent the evening relaxing in the serene aftermath of pleasant family time.
