My day began at 6:00 a.m. with cooking, cleaning, and seeing to the cats and #2 daughter's dog, who is our house guest this weekend.
I put out Easter baskets for the grandchildren.
#1 daughter and the baby arrived shortly thereafter. The Baby looked charming in her Easter dress. She has a little Chanel-style jacket in pale pink boucle to complete the look.
We went to brunch at church, with the Good Ol' Boy and his mother and brother. The service was grand, with brass and timpani and bells and the Hallelujah Chorus to finish.
#1 son and his family were there when I got back to the house, and we had ham and all the trimmings and played Clue.
#1 daughter arrived with the Good Ol' Boy and the Baby and we had another round of lunch and conversation.
When the young people left in midafternoon, I cleaned up the meal and washed the dishes and my husband and I took a nap.
The rest of the day was devoted to reading an knitting. Very relaxing.
