Each fall I have a couple of big projects: the Design Your Wardrobe sewing project and the Holiday Grand Plan. I was traveling this year, so I did not do the Fall DYW at all. I got home after the start of the HGP — it’s Entryway Week, the third week of the plan, and I missed the first two weeks.
My entryway is no great shakes. I can get it in shape in a few minutes. I will therefore have a truncated Porch Week instead. Frankly, I love my porch as it is right now. The Before picture is at the top of this post, and I have swept and dusted since I took it, but otherwise I won’t change a thing. I’ll just try to spend more time out there now that the weather is less fierce.
Then I will try to do the living room over the weekend and be caught up.
This will also be List Week. I have set up the gift exchange and will wait to begin making something until I know whose Secret Santa I am. However, I am giving gifts to all of the children, so I can start thinking about that.
Here are the lists we should make:
- Christmas card list
- Menus for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, other parties
- Goodies for Sharing/Gifts
- Favorite Meals for freezing
- Long-term shopping list
I need to set up my Christmas planner as well. Then I’ll be on track for a peaceful holiday season.
