It’s New Year’s Eve. I worked today, and cleaned the house a little bit, changed the garden flag, and undecorated the Christmas tree. But I started the day at the eye doctor’s.
There was some confusion over my insurance, but my complaints about my eyes did not add up to a need for more surgery, praise the Lord. In fact, the doctor said my eyes were healthy and I don’t need new glasses. She gave me a list of things I should do to solve my eye complaints:
- Hydration, not too much caffeine
- Avoid sitting close to the heater
- Wrap around sunglasses
- Bruder heat mask
- Oust lid scrub
- Systane balance eye drops
- Flax seed
- Fish oil
- Vitamin D
This is about $100 worth of gear, and several more items on my a.m. routine list.
But I’m going to do it. It’s the new year, after all. Or tomorrow will be.
I’ll be eating Mediterranean food, tossing out the leftover holiday junk food, moving more, being proactive with my clients (once the office reopens), sleeping better, taking care of my hair and skin and nails and apparently also my eyes, getting to the bottom of the pain I’ve been experiencing, keeping my house tidy, connecting more with my family, and learning new things.
As for tonight, I am going to write out my goals and resolutions. Then I might very well go to bed early and read.
