Last year we had a pre-Thanksgiving grilled cheese party. This year we went with hand pies. Empanadas, puff pastry turnovers, pies filled with Chicken Shawarma, mushrooms in cream, picadillo, and other delicious things.
It was fun to try out a variety of hand pie making tools, and #2 son and his GF came up and joined in the process.
We also had cookies: Chestnut Creme sandwiches, gingerbread, brownies with sprinkles, and sugar cookie pumpkins.
Vegetables, including some jardiniere pickles we bought at the craft fair, rounded out the menu.
We had lots of fun conversations, some games, played with the hoverboard, and generally had a good time.
