This is the last day of Guest Room Week, and I have done absolutely nothing to deal with the extremely messy guest room. Nor have I worked on handmade gifts or baked for the freezer.

It was a busy week at work, and I am going to a pumpkin patch with #1 Daughter and the Littles today, plus an alteration job for the Big Granddaughter. It is a beautiful chilly fall day, so it will certainly be a good day to knit. Maybe also a good day to clean up that room, but I’m not sure about that.

I did bake a lovely apple cake with maple mousse last weekend. I might bake cookies today. I actually woke up at 4:00 a.m. thinking that I could get up then and start cinnamon rolls for the littles. However, I didn’t get out of bed, instead falling into a doze with dreams of jam. By the time I got up, my husband was getting ribs into the oven and the opportunity had passed by.

I have admitted that I haven’t been working on handmade gifts. In fact, I backslid.

Because of lazy swatching, I had to frog all this lovely wool. Did I then make a proper swatch? No. I just got back to work with larger needles. we’ll see what happens. But I am further behind on gifts than I was at the beginning of the week.

Here’s something I have been doing: massage. Sort of.

I have some massage devices to review, so I figured I could use them on one side of my body and see whether I experienced less pain on that side than on the other. So far, I haven’t noticed much difference. I have had a couple of painful nights this week, but I wasn’t keeping track before, so I don’t know how it compares with my usual weeks.

Maybe the fact that I haven’t noticed much difference from one side to the other shows that I haven’t had much pain.

In any case, next week is Kitchen Week, so I will try to get some Guest Room Week work done today.
