I’m still not reaching 10,000 steps. I’ve improved a little bit each day, but still… my evening stroll with the dog doesn’t even count as “very active.”
The truth is, my work involves sitting at a desk. I’m working 11, 12 hours a day, so I’m not moving during that time. If I sleep 8 hours, which is certainly a goal, then I have 4 hours during which I could in theory be highly active, but that is not happening. Cooking, talking, reading, showering and getting dressed — all of these things are taking precedence, and I’d like to be doing more sewing and knitting as well. Neither of those could be considered highly active.
I must put on my thinking cap.
