I went to Joanne’s this morning to get fabric to make a vampire cape for the Little Girl. The entire fabric section looked as though it had been tossed by an angry mob. Possibly frantic people making Hallowe’en costumes. Or a zombie mob ripping and tearing their way through acres of chiffon and black polyester.
My quest for black and red 58″ fabrics was successful. Polyester lining fabric is just the thing for costumes.
It was Burda pattern and I definitely had trouble tracing it out and then making it longer. I probably should have just bought a vampire cape pattern while I was there. But the hood turned out very nicely.
I remember working in retail in the 4th quarter. It can be completely manic. This gives me a lot of sympathy for retail workers.
