I frogged the scarf from Lacy Little Knits. It wasn’t going well and the directions were unclear. Instead I am making the Southern Snowfall scarf from Mind of Winter, which I made before and enjoy wearing.

It’s a narrow little scarf because I’m not sure there’s enough yardage in the skein to make a wider one.

I bought a skein of handspun yarn at the Kansas City Renaissance Fair one year and was able to make the merest whisp of a scarf from a pattern that was trendy at the time, the Dropped Stitch Scarf. I would have preferred a much larger one, but that scarf always reminds me of the fun I had with my kids at the fair. This kind of scarf is perhaps more souvenir than wardrobe item, but there’s nothing wrong with that, right?

#2 daughter returned to the Big City and today I’m getting back to work. It was nice to spend the weekend hanging out with my family. I have however taken two three day weekends in a row and spent them in fun and frolic. My house is a mess and I’m seriously behind with my work.

I will therefore stop here and get to work.
