Yesterday started at 5 a.m. as I tried to get all the blog posts in before heading up to The Next County for class. I didn’t quite manage it, but I did get quite a bit done. On to class, followed by our monthly staff meeting. It’s not completely clear to me and #1 daughter what these meetings are supposed to accomplish, but we had some good conversations.

We also had lunch. In my case, that was followed by 12 hours of stomach cramps. More on that later.

I zipped by the bank and stopped off to buy some violet thread, because I was imagining that I would spend the evening sewing. In fact, I had a bunch more conversations as I was trying to get all the blog posts done and gave up at 7:00 pm when my husband had dinner ready.

I was so tired and painful that I just couldn’t make myself finish that last post on the minimum wage and its effects in Puerto Rico. I had my salmon and spinach and went to bed with a Kindle book that needs reviewing.

Naturally, I couldn’t sleep well. I was up a couple of times with cramps and had dreams about the Huffington Post (don’t ask) and landing pages. My husband’s phone rang at 1:24 and I gave up. I got up and worked on the landing page issue till about 4:00, at which point I went back to bed, just as the dogs decided it was time to get up.

There are people who manage well without sleep, but I am not one of them.

In any case, I think I’m on track for the landing page, and the tale of minimum wage is finished. I have also reached 15 lbs in my weight-loss efforts. That seems like a significant amount. It’s about 10 pounds in January on Ignite and 5 in February on Balance, but I think slow and sustainable is okay with me.

It’s a beautiful day out there, and I’m hoping that a cup of tea will help me feel more like enjoying it. I wish I had made an appointment for a hair cut for today — of course, if I make one today for next Saturday, it’ll be done. Or I guess I could walk into Sports Clips the way my menfolks do.
