I had a brief spell of normal life. Waking up, exercising, have breakfast, dressing and making up my face, making the bed, planning dinner. Days of work with a lunch break, meetings, calls. Evenings with friends, choir, knitting, committee meetings, time with my husband, reading novels. Weekends with family, housework, racking up the inches on the holiday sweaters, baking.
When we work hard to create, to pay for, to arrange a pleasant home and a satisfying life, we must take time to enjoy those things.
But it breaks down now and then. In this case, my Fitbit stopped working, a deadline came up, a rush of new work came in, things got complex at work, I quit eating right or even keeping track. I quit going to the grocery, in fact. I quit exercising.
How quickly it breaks down.
