I made a nice breakfast for this morning’s team meeting, including owl-shaped cranberry bran muffins. I ended up with a lot of leftover pears.

Pears don’t keep well, so I decided to audition my Thanksgiving pear tart. I didn’t pay much attention to how it looks, obviously, but the pastry was crisp, the frangipane tasty, and the pears perfectly tender.

It wasn’t sweet, which I quite like, but I think I’ll add apricot jam when I make it for the others. I used my little hand-powered food processor for the pastry and it was quick and easy.
