Over a week into my reset, I’m back at work contentedly. I got my haircut today, wrote about interesting things, talked with an old friend who is also a potential new client, and spent some time on the patio reading a chapter from a forthcoming Simon Brett novel.

I also did some housework. Along with sleep, healthy eating, and exercise, my busy spell interfered with housework. I never do a great deal of housework, but doing even less than usual naturally results in less pleasant living conditions.

So today I thoroughly scrubbed the bathrooms, did the dishes and washed the counters, and tidied the living room. Now I can carry on with my knitting with a sense of accomplishment or at least a tidy place to sit.
