The Poster Queen, The Empress, That Man and I had lunch at a local bistro. Three salads and an order of fish tacos, and you can guess who was the odd man out.

Our conversations were typical for people in our age ranges: how are your parents and how are your kids.

We also reminisced about some of our coworkers at the place where we all used to work together.

I learned recently that people (like me) who talk about ideas are boring to the majority of people, who like to talk about people. Our lunch conversations was almost entirely about people. I don’t usually care for that, but in this case I enjoyed it.

It was fun, and it was nice to catch up with these people with whome I spent a decade and a half of my life.

The salad was good, too.
