I will of course need to work. I’m at 60 hours already this week, so I am not thrilled about that, but I think I have another 5-6 hours of work to finish out the week. I also must do housework and errands.

However, my husband is at work this morning, so I have the house to myself. Sure, I have the house to myself every workday, and you would think I would be sorry to miss the chance to spend some time with my husband.

But the day seems ripe with possibilities. I could finish that blasted slip! I could sit around and read! I could do a Daily Burn dance workout without fear of embarrassment! I could go for a hike without appearing to abandon anybody!

Yes, my idea of an exciting day is pretty limited.

But having the house to myself on a day when I don’t have to spend the entire time in front of my computer is a nice thought.

I’m going to go do that now.

What? I forgot about Fitbit? No — here’s the week so far.


I’ve managed about half the desired total for the week so far. One turquoise day, but no green days — I assume you get a green day if you reach 10,000 steps. Today, as I am doing whatever I end up doing, I will think about a new plan for getting all those steps in.
