The Newport Classic is getting the cuff of its second sleeve. Then comes the collar.

My state now has 349 cases of COVID-19 and three deaths. We’re living through a pandemic.

But we’re doing so in comfort. I’m tired of eating fish and eggs, and I miss seeing my kids and grandkids in person. Apart from that, life hasn’t changed that much for me. I work at home anyway. Social events and trips have been canceled, but as an introvert I don’t mind staying home reading and knitting.

We have plenty of lean protein and frozen fruit and veg — even of toilet paper. I don’t personally know anyone who has been affected, and we still have work. My husband, having been deemed essential to a critical industry, has a permission paper so he can drive to work and back even if we are quarantined.

Basically no hardships. But it does feel odd.
