This is the day that made it a real Sewcation — the third day of the long weekend and the fourth day, or third and a half, of the Sewcation.
I started with homemade sweet rolls and a little unavoidable work.
Then on to the hemming and the facings. The print skirt looks great with the jacket, IMHO.
Here’s the Fringe Festival top.
Said top with the skirt and jacket.
Pants, top, jacket, cat helping out.
Matching top for the skirt, partially hemmed and still needing a neck band.
That’s almost five finished garments from the collection.
Meanwhile it is also List Week on the Holiday Grand Plan. That means it’s time to clean the front porch. And make lists, viz:
- Christmas cards
- Visits to make
- Menus for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, other parties
- Goodies for Sharing/Gifts. Decide how much needs to be made and divide it among the weeks from now through December 1.
- Favorite Meals of Family members for freezing ahead.
- Long-term shopping list divided into: canned foods, perishables for each holiday, linens and dishes, decorations, etc.
It’a been a fun, relaxing, and productive Sewcation.
