My second class for the summer was “Big Embroidery with a Small Hoop” with Lisa Shaw. I leapt to sign up for this class, because this is exactly what I want to do.

Shaw seems nice. She also seems uncomfortable on camera and disorganized. She explains how to align different patterns to make one large pattern, but even in the chapter on using embroidery software, she didn’t show how to split a pattern into parts and work the different parts separately.

The class essentially confirms that I can’t embroider large patterns with my current machine.

Sigh.

The class was a disappointment, but probably that is mostly because I have really been hoping I could figure out how to embroider the large patterns I own.

At least I know how to align patterns.
