So here are the pieces I completed for my Spring 2015 SWAP:
- 2 pairs of linen drawstring pants, one aquamarine and one gray
- 1 knit top of bamboo jersey, wine
- 1 teal peasant blouse
So that’s really half a swap.
But it’s time now to sew a Fall SWAP. Labor Day weekend, #1 son has gone to play a music festival, and I can play in the sewing room all I like.
If I go with a stash-buster SWAP, it might look like this:
It’s not as well coordinated as a SWAP might ideally be, but it’s probably workable.
A gray suit — well the gray suit that I’ve been planning for a year or so. The gray looks good with the print.
A two-piece in print from a tried and true pattern. I might make the jacket, too, from one of the leftover Spring SWAP fabrics.
An orchid top would be pretty with the print, as would the marsala cotton below.
There’s also the bright blue lawn, the marsala print and the linen jacquard.
Blouses and shells, jackets, tops, and skirts are all included in these three patterns:
Butterick 5965
McCall’s 6650
Seems like a fairly good plan.
