#2 daughter and her beau came down for the weekend. I thought we’d go for a hike, but it was oppressively hot the day they arrived. We visited the wonderful used bookstore in town instead. I hadn’t been there for years.
#1 son and his family came the next day. The kids were a fun addition, along with the dogs. We played games and had conversations. #1 daughter and The Good Ol’ Boy arrived next. It was a pleasure to have a house full of people.
On the Monday, we drove up to the Big City. I’m staying with #2 daughter for a week before we leave for Paris. We had dinner at a Mexican restaurant within walking distance. They offered chicken enchiladas with Boom Boom sauce, called Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Obviously, I had to eat that.
#2 daughter and I had some planner time when we got back to the apartment.
This morning I started the day with a swim. That’s a wonderful way to start the day.
Then I had a cup of tea on the balcony and read a couple of chapters of a Robert Barnard novel I picked up at the used bookstore.
#2 daughter and I will be working from her home office today. It should be fun. Both of us work remotely and therefore alone most of the time. Having a coworker should be fun.
