I have put the argyle vest together, but I haven’t woven in the tails yet… and there are a lot of tails. So I really have no business starting a new project.

This is particularly true when I have two sweaters and a shawl on the needles already.

But I began Damsel anyway. This pattern is from Cozy Stash-Busting Knits. I’m using size 3 needles and Air Lux yarn.

Maybe the sardines in this article were made from Air Lux, too.

The pattern is an 8-row lacy stitch with all-purl on the wrong side. Two of the knit rows are logical: a decrease, 5 stitches, a decrease, and a cat’s paw. The others, however, involve k3tog and sssk. Yes, I said sssk. So this will not become a relaxing zombie project even when I get to know the pattern.

On the other hand, it’s glimmering and soft. And maybe easier than the argyle.
