Style Arc’s Gigi Jacket used to be called the Coco Jacket. I have made the Hotpatterns Coco jacket a couple of times, and I wonder whether Style Arc changed their pattern’s name because of the overlap.
In any case, the Gigi Jacket features in Looks 1 and 2 of my Spring 2022 DYW.
I have a length of Oscar de la Renta tweed that I have been wondering about. It is suitable for the jacket, but does it go with my Spring DYW? Is it wonderful with Very Peri?
Or should I order this boucle? It has threads of Periwinkle and turquoise.
Should I spend the money? Will I be able to make a wearable jacket from the Gigi pattern?
It’s a versatile pattern. I have the Elle pant pattern — and several pairs I made, too.
But the Gigi Jacket is currently sitting in the form of 48 printed-out pages that must be put together into a usable pattern. Then I have to cut it out of whatever fabric I decide to use, and sew it all together successfully.
I am not sanguine.
