#1 daughter, the Baby, and I went to the Farmers Market today, opening day.
I bought a skein of handspun wool from a sheep named Spreckles. That is, the sheep produced the yarn. I bought it from the sheep’s owner, not from the sheep.
The Baby helped me choose the skein, patting it appreciatively. I also bought lettuce and green onions, but there weren’t many vegetables and no fruit. Mostly flowers and crafts.
There were mushrooms, though. I didn’t take the plunge into them but I admire the spirit.
We went once around the square, walking very slowly with the current of the crowd, looking at all the dogs and enjoying the music.
