The office is closed this week and under normal circumstances I would be taking the week off. As it stands, I’m working, but not flat out. Next week I’ll be back to work officially, and will be getting up at 6:00 a.m. and doing my morning routine properly.
What am I noticing during this week of observation? For one thing, I have to get up at 6:00 in order to exercise, do my health and beauty stuff, and eat a wholesome breakfast before starting work at 8:00. That’s how long it takes.
Second, getting up at 6:00 a.m. is not easy. I stagger out of bed and struggle to keep my eyes open. My Fitbit tells me that I’m sleeping poorly and getting 7 hours or less when I get up on time.
I need to sleep better. Or go to bed earlier. Or both.
#2 son and his GF sent a box of cookies for Christmas, and they arrived yesterday.
The photo at the top of the post shows all the store-bought cookies we have in addition to the homemade leftovers.
I plan to institute Tea Time at 4:00 p.m. Tea and cookies. My hope is that this will corral sugar consumption, limiting it to just that daily bit. We’ll see.
