Here are the two sweater vests for Christmas. The brown one is made of llama wool. It is clear that the two skeins I have will not be enough. I have a handspun gray ball of yarn. Could I do some brown and gray color work and eke out enough to finish the vest?
I’m in correspondence with the llama’s owner, hoping to get some more of the yarn.
The gray one I started a couple of years ago. This was two skeins of KnitPicks Wool of the Andes in Cobblestone. Turned out I ran out of yarn at just that moment. As you can see in the photo, I now have three more skeins of the stuff. It should be just enough to complete the vest.
I realize there is a pattern here.
It’s fall now, and we have rain and cooler days. Fortunately, the shipper in England accurately determined that my tea shipment was an International Priority. I’ve got a couple of vests underway for Christmas gifts and a TV show to binge-watch. I’m all set.
