I have written an entire long post here twice, and both times it has disappeared when I pushed the “save changes” button. I don’t have time to do it again.

(a) it looks like your soldering is improving by leaps and bounds! and (b) beautiful fall colors. my neighborhood is young, so there isn’t much color to be found.
It’s happened enough to me lately that before saving, I select the whole post and copy it.
Then if xanga eats it, I just paste it and try again.
Yay! Create-a-Caption. Um…
Her deft fingers worked on the minute collages, sheltered by her hunching back. Over the ancient dinner table she taped the slides with tender devotion, snuggling them into a felt lined box upon their semi-completion.
Behold, the myriad creations!
I’m sorry not to be able to read your post — that goes without saying. But the pictures are worth [insert numeral here] words — great pictures!
Everybody is having trouble with their computers and cyberstuff right now…. it’s not just you.
I suspect part of the reason for the disconnection is the huge-ness of the country in which you live. Even if we move away from our hometowns in NZ we are never more than about 24 hours away. That is not the case in the US. (I still can’t get over how BIG it is!) The other big difference seems to be that you lot move into different colleges, universities-whatever- for different levels of your degrees. We don’t. For most of us (I’m an exception) all our degrees are gathered from the same university. Moving into different colleges would often entail moving to a different state I imagine so the distance between where the student is and where the student’s home is can be large. How often do your young people actually return to their own towns to work?
